In these terms and conditions, "we" "us" and "our" refers to Curio Group Pty Ltd. Your access to and use of all content on this website is provided subject to the following terms and conditions.
We reserve the right to amend this notice at any time and your use of the website following any amendments will represent your agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions as amended. We therefore recommend that each time you access our website you read these terms and conditions.
The Site is made available for use only by individuals searching for employment openings (“Job Seekers” or “Educators”), by individuals and/or organizations seeking to make available information regarding employment openings, on their behalf or other’s behalf, including but not limited to agencies purchasing for multiple parties (“Employers”). If you are accessing or using the Site in your capacity as an employee or other representative of an Employer, you are agreeing to this Agreement on behalf of yourself and such Employer or Publisher, as applicable, and you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind such Employer or Publisher, as applicable, to this Agreement.
We may change this Agreement by notifying you of such changes by any reasonable means, including by posting a revised Agreement through the Site. Any such changes will not apply to any claim brought prior to the date on which we posted the revised Agreement incorporating such changes, or otherwise notified you of such changes. Your access to or use of the Site following any changes to this Agreement will constitute your acceptance of such changes. The “Last Updated” legends in each section of the terms and conditions indicate when this Agreement was last changed. We may, at any time and without liability, modify or discontinue all or part of the Site (including access to the Site via any third-party links); charge, modify or waive any fees required to use the Site; or offer opportunities to some or all Site users.
Registered Users
In order to access the services provided on this website, you must become a registered user. You must complete registration by providing certain information as set out on our membership/registration page. Please refer to our Privacy Policy linked on our home page for information relating to our collection, storage and use of the details you provide on registration.
You agree to ensure that your registration details are true and accurate at all times and you undertake to update your registration details from time to time when they change.
On registration, we provide you with a password. On registration you agree to pay for our services as set out on our website.
We reserve the right to terminate your registration at any time if you breach these terms and conditions.
Site Access
When you visit our website, we give you a limited licence to access and use our information for personal use.
You are permitted to download a copy of the information on this website to your computer for your personal use only provided that you do not delete or change any copyright symbol, trade mark or other proprietary notice. Your use of our content in any other way infringes our intellectual property rights.
Except as permitted under the Copyright Act 1968 (Commonwealth of Australia), you are not permitted to copy, reproduce, republish, distribute or display any of the information on this website without our prior written permission.
The licence to access and use the information on our website does not include the right to use any data mining robots or other extraction tools. The licence also does not permit you to metatag or mirror our website without our prior written permission. We reserve the right to serve you with notice if we become aware of your metatagging or mirroring of our website.

You agree that you are solely responsible for (and that Academic Jobs Board has no responsibility or liability to you or to any third party for) any breach of your obligations under this Agreement and for any consequences (including any loss or damage which Academic Jobs Board may suffer) of any such breach.
You agree that you shall not transmit to Academic Jobs Board or upload to or through the Site (whether as User Content or otherwise) any Harmful Code, or use or misappropriate the Site for your own commercial gain. Without limiting the foregoing and by way of example only, users may not:
- Send unsolicited commercial email (“spam”) or messages to users who have asked not to be contacted;
- Imitate or impersonate another person
- Upload or transmit any unlawful, harassing, abusive, fraudulent, infringing, obscene, or content that would be deemed objectionable
- Intentionally distribute harmful code
- Transmit content inappropriate for minors
- Impersonate another person (via the use of an email address or otherwise) or otherwise misrepresent yourself or the source of any email.
- Transmit another’s intellectual property or other proprietary or confidential information without such owner’s or licensor’s permission. Users who repeatedly post intellectual property owned by others will be banned from Academic Jobs Board.
- Violate the legal rights (such as rights of privacy and publicity) of others.
- Sell, resell, lease or trade or otherwise exploit for any unauthorised commercial purpose, or transfer, any Academic Jobs Board account
- Reverse engineer any portion of the Site.
- Create multiple Academic Jobs Board accounts without permission.
- Provide false information.
- Scrape the Academic Jobs Board database
- Scrape or otherwise replicate any Academic Jobs Board content for competitive purposes

Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions are to be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Victoria and any claim made by either party against the other which in any way arises out of these terms and conditions will be heard in Victoria and you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of those Courts.
If any provision in these terms and conditions is invalid under any law the provision will be limited, narrowed, construed or altered as necessary to render it valid but only to the extent necessary to achieve such validity. If necessary the invalid provision will be deleted from these terms and conditions and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Class Action Waiver
By using the Site and in return for the services offered by Academic Jobs Board, you acknowledge that Academic Jobs Board can only offer you these services under the terms and conditions as presented herein. As part of your consideration for your use of Academic Jobs Board, you (either an Employer or Job Seeker) agree not to sue Academic Jobs Board as a class plaintiff or class representative, join as a class member, or participate as an adverse party in any way in a class-action lawsuit against Academic Jobs Board regarding your use of the Site. Additionally, as a Job Seeker, your use of the Site is at no charge and you acknowledge that part of the price you are paying to use this Site is your acceptance of these terms of service including this Class Action Waiver.
Filtering
We hereby notify you that parental control protections (such as computer hardware, software or filtering services) are commercially available that may assist you in limiting access to material that is harmful to minors. Information identifying current providers of such protections is available from GetNetWise (http://www.getnetwise.org/) and OnGuard Online (http://onguardonline.gov/). Please note that Company does not endorse any of the products or services listed on such sites.
Use of Site by Minors
The Site is not directed to individuals under the age of eighteen (18), but if you are under the age of 18 or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must use Academic Jobs Board under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian, or responsible adult.
Posting a Job
When posting a job, employers must abide by terms relating to Site Access. Job posts will be live for 30 days and after this date will appear in your dashboard as ‘Expired’. Search credits will also expire after 30 days, if not used by the end of the posting period. Search credits paid for with a Standard or Featured job post are not transferable to other job posts, coordinator, or institution accounts.
Cancellation of Job Posts
You may remove a job you have posted from the platform at any point after posting by clicking ‘close job’ in your dashboard. After closing, the job will show as expired in your dashboard. To reopen the job, click to ‘Repost’ from the dashboard. You will be able to post as a free job ad or pay to post as a Standard or Featured job. Please note unused search credits and ‘live days’ paid for as part of job posting will also expire on post removal.
Removal of Jobs Posts
Academic Jobs Board reserves the right to remove a job post at any point without notice. Job posts that violate terms relating to Site Access will be removed by Academic Jobs Board and the posting account suspended, pending investigation, or removed without notice. To query account suspension or removal, or job post removal please contact us at hello@academicjobsboard.com.
Refunds
Refunds (if any) are at the absolute discretion of Academic Jobs Board. If your account is removed due to violation of terms of Site Access, you are not entitled to a refund of previously spent amounts, including when credits are unused or 30 days since job posting have not passed. You acknowledge and agree that any credit card and related billing and payment information that you provide to Academic Jobs Board may be shared by Academic Jobs Board with companies who work on Academic Job Board’s behalf, such as payment processors, solely for the purposes of effecting payment to Academic Jobs Board and servicing your account.
Tax
Academic Jobs Board, via our payment processor Stripe, charges GST to customers based in Australia on all transactions. For customer institutions based in Australia, it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure all company details and billing information are correct to ensure GST is correctly applied. Applicable local taxes are the responsibility of the customer.
Privacy
We undertake to take all due care with any information including Comments which you may provide to us when accessing our website. However we do not warrant and cannot ensure the security of any information which you may provide to us. Information you transmit to us is entirely at your own risk although we undertake to take reasonable steps to preserve such information in a secure manner.
